Most people who are interested in genealogy and history also collect and preserve their family history with vintage photographs and daguerreotypes.  I can paint an oil portrait of your ancestor from these antique images.  You can choose a simple portrait of your ancestor's face or a portrait with a three/quarter or full length view.  I can copy the background on the photograph or create a background with a complex interior scene or landscape.  The best likenesses can be captured in oils if you have a clear image of your ancestor, however, even damaged or blurry images can be used as the basis for a creative portrait that honors your ancestor.
